Mums Poem

Mum’s Poem

Gleny’s – What a Woman

Born on 30th May 1942,

Your dad often said “you’re a cheeky bugger you!

Full of mischief, full of fun

we have many stories of what you’ve done.

Childhood squabbles with your sister June

Over favourite clothes taken from her room.

Your many cousins, love you dear

their tales of you told many a year.

Lots of friendships you have formed

All the hearts you’ve touched you’ve warmed

A rock of support to your family and friends

Unconditional love that never ends.

Your loss of sight coped with so well,

Gave great admirations, most couldn’t tell.

Goodbye special lady, you’ll be loved forever

Always with us, forgotten – never!
